Register for the National Anger Management Association

There are many levels of membership in the National Anger Management Association. Depending on your skills and experience, you can choose between a student membership or an agency membership. As a member of this organization you’ll gain access to scientific information about anger management through brochures, newsletters, case studies, training materials, and other valuable resources. Enroll yourself to a NAMA-approved training specialist course to gain more knowledge on how you help victims of anger management. The training courses can last up to 2 to 3 days for live training courses. A distance learning option is also available which is supervised through the internet and telephone. A total of 4 anger management classes is needed to get your initial qualification as an anger management coach. These classes will provide you basic qualifications to manage people with anger issues. While some people can readily take these classes, other are mandated by the court. The four management classes will give you the knowledge and confidence as you pursue your career as a coach. These classes are supervised by NAMA-approved counselors.

Get Certified as an Anger Management Coach

Once you complete the training course required by NAMA, it’s time to get certified. Simply visit the site of NAMA, download the application form, fill it out and send it together with other documents and application fee. You will be asked questions regarding your experience, training, education, etc. Apply for a state licensure as mental health professional after receiving certification from NAMA.
